BC Snowboard is excited to offer the BC Snowboard Pathways Program again for 2024-2025.
What is it?
It’s a collection of dryland camps, online seminars focused on Nutrition, Mental Performance strategies, and other snowboard / sport related topics.
Activities may vary across camps however, our goals are to teach athletes correct techniques, exercises, and knowledge on specific fitness components and movements that relate to snowboarding in and out of the gym. Alongside this we will do a variety of cross over sports with a focus on team building.
Online sessions will be open to all, however athletes who sign up for one off camp will be required to pay an additional fee to attend.
These camps are run and organized by provincial coaches and is the perfect catalyst to explore the pathway towards being a well-rounded athlete at the provincial level and beyond.
In addition to dry land camps, we are exploring on-snow training opportunities for early in the season and during specific BC Snowboard Provincial Series events. Additional costs to be determined, however Program Pathway Athletes (athletes who have registered to be part of the full program) will be offered a discounted rate when signing up for these on-snow training opportunities.
Where is it?
With proven previous success and the convenience of everything we need on our door step we have made Sun Peaks the home for the Pathways Program.
Who is it for?
All snowboard athletes wanting to develop their skills, knowledge and fitness levels in a dryland capacity for the purpose of improving their snowboarding.
It is recommended that Athletes interested in the Pathways Program be a member of their local club and have some knowledge of ‘dry land’ training – if you are not a member of a snowboard club and are still interested, please still sign up and we can help guide you towards a snowboard club in your area.
