BC Snowboard Association (BCSA) is a non-profit
society incorporated under the laws of the Province of British Columbia
and is recognized by the Canadian Snowboard
Federation (CSF) as the official provincial sports organization
responsible for snowboarding within BC.
To
become a member
To become a competitive or recreational member of BC Snowboard
Association, print the application form found on the "Register"
page, complete it properly and send it to our office with the appropriate
fees.
There is some information about membership and insurance found
on the "Info" page.
BC
Snowboard Provincial Teams
The BC Snowboard Association has 2 Provincial Snowboard
Teams with 18 full members on each, as well as developmental programs
for each team. To qualify as a member of either the HalfPipe or
the Snowboard Cross Provincial Teams, see the document Selection
Protocol.

Provincial Series
BC Snowboard runs a FIS level Provincial Series
- see 2007-2008 calendar, with a total of 12 days of events (Half
Pipe, Slopestyle and Snowboard Cross).
As well, BC Snowboard recognizes the non-FIS competitor
by three age groups (male/female) of: 14 and under, 15 to 18, and
19 and overall at the Provincial Series events.
Club Sanctioning
BC Snowboard Association provides
support for snowboard clubs through sanctioning, insurance, officials
training, judges
training, coaches training and promotion.

Event Sanctioning
BC Snowboard Association provides support for snowboard
events through sanctioning, insurance, contacts for officials and
judges, and promotion. The event organizers are responsbile for
providing a secure venue and the event officials and judges.

Volunteer!
BC Snowboard requires volunteers to run our events, both in administration
and on-hill.
Volunteers are provided with a day ticket for
the event (if required) and lunch, as well as great spectator views
and the pleasure of helping! What a great way to become an
experienced volunteer.
There will be a volunteer draw at the end of the
season. Your name will be entered in the draw once for each day
you volunteer.
Please consider helping with any event, whether
on the hill or in administration.
